Massage Therapy
The massage therapy field is growing rapidly. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor expects employment opportunities for massage therapists to increase between 18 and 26 percent by 2014! At Ohio Institute of Health Careers, you can train for an exciting massage therapy career and meet the growing demand!
Our Massage Therapy training program is designed for people who want to focus on clinical and rehabilitative approaches to massage therapy. Our program gives students a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, pathology, terminology and kinesiology needed to develop a professional approach to massage therapy.
At Ohio Institute of Health Careers, our Massage Therapy students learn how to assess each client's needs in order to formulate and implement the appropriate treatment plan. Students receive a well-rounded foundation of textbook knowledge and clinical skills that professional massage therapists require. The Massage Therapy program is approved by the Ohio State Medical Board, therefore allowing our graduates to sit for the state license exam. After passing the licensing exam, our graduates will be ready to begin their massage therapy careers in Ohio!
As a graduate of our Massage Therapy program, you can qualify for an entry-level position as a massage therapist in a variety of settings. You could work in a chiropractic office, medical office, physical therapy office, hospital, wellness center or private practice in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
